Fortify Apologetics Ministry exists to equip believers with the knowledge and confidence to defend their faith and share the gospel, while strengthening churches across Texas. In a culture where truth is questioned and biblical values are under constant attack, the need for apologetics has never been greater.
We understand the immense responsibility pastors and church staff carry in shepherding their congregations. Discipleship is vital, yet the demands of ministry often make it difficult to address every need—especially in areas like apologetics and worldview training. That’s where we come alongside. Our desire is to partner with churches, supporting their mission by providing resources and teaching that help believers stand firm in their faith and actively evangelize their communities with grace and truth.
We envision a generation of Christians rooted in God’s Word, prepared to answer life’s toughest questions, and empowered to shine the light of the gospel in a world desperate for truth.

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the ultimate standard for truth.

One God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the only Savior of the world.

Eternal life is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Jesus rose bodily from the dead, securing victory over sin and death.

Believers are called to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations.

We affirm the traditional, biblical view of marriage as defined by Jesus: a covenant union between one man and one woman.

We believe in the establishment of the Church as the body of Christ, called to worship, fellowship, and serve as His hands and feet in the world.
Fortify Apologetics Ministry partners with churches to provide affordable, impactful apologetics events designed to strengthen believers and equip them to share their faith confidently. Each event is tailored to meet the unique needs of small and medium-sized congregations. industry.

Tim Johnson accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of six at First Baptist Church of Arnold, Missouri. Since then, God has faithfully shaped his life, calling, and family. Tim has been married to his wife, Vanessa, for nearly 22 years, and God has blessed them with four children: John, Elanna, James, and Terra.
Tim served on staff at Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, for five years, during which time he also volunteered with Ratio Christi. In April 2024, he stepped into full-time campus apologetics ministry as the Chapter Director for Ratio Christi at Tarrant County College (South Campus), where the ministry has now been active for nearly two years. Tim has organized and led numerous apologetics initiatives, including conferences, debates, Q&A panels, and college outreach events, often partnering with ministries like Watchman Fellowship. He has spoken on topics such as “What is Truth?” and “Is the New Testament Reliable?” and participated in a 2024 mission trip to Utah to minister to the Latter-Day Saint community.
Tim’s calling to ministry began at age 14, when he sensed God directing him to surrender his life to full-time service. That calling deepened with a burden for discipleship (Matthew 28:19) and conviction from 1 Peter 3:15 to be prepared to give a defense for the hope within us. These convictions have fueled his passion to help believers defend the faith with confidence and share the gospel with grace and truth.
He earned a B.S. in Worship Studies from Liberty University and is beginning/pursuing a master’s degree in Christian Apologetics and Theology through Southern Evangelical Seminary Online. Tim is committed to serving students, equipping believers, and engaging the next generation on Texas campuses for Christ.

Thomas grew up in a secular family with a mix of beliefs and an atheist Father. As a child and teenager, the Holy Spirit raised deep questions about God, but when these questions were posed to professing Christians, they were often met with discouragement and few answers. This led to being distant from God for years and later becoming an outspoken atheist apologist, leading others away from faith.
Everything changed after meeting Christian, who genuinely lived their beliefs and patiently answered the multitude of snarky questions from a jaded atheist. His kindness and wisdom made a big impact. Thomas surrendered his skepticism to the infinite wisdom of God at the age of 40. This led to a life transformed, a restored marriage, and a new hope where there was none.
Thomas is now called to ministry to help others find answers to their questions about their faith and Christianity. Thomas has since obtained a B.A.S. in Systematic Theology from Wayland Baptist University, an M.A. in the Philosophy of Religion from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and is currently a Doctoral candidate in the Philosophy of Religion at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Thomas has experience in pastoral ministry and has taught classes in Apologetics, Debate, Theology, and Biblical Languages at local churches in South Texas. Thomas believes that every honest question deserves a thoughtful answer, and all Christians share the responsibility to explain what we believe. My mission is to bring the expert training usually reserved for church professionals to everyone, so our church can be more effective, and every believer can confidently share the gospel.
